Chagford Recreational Trust ​

 

Established in 1984 we are a charity that aims to promote and provide exceptional sports facilities for the health and well being of the parishes of Chagford, Gidleigh, Throwleigh and Drewsteignton.  We are responsible for the long term maintenance of sporting facilities for cricket, football, netball, swimming and tennis. 

With the help of volunteers we have raised over £1.25 million pounds that has all been used to promote and play sport.

 

The Football and Cricket Clubs are based at the Memorial Ground, that has the Pavillion, which is also home to the Sports and Social Club. The Swimming Pool sits on the banks of the Teign, and has changing facilities and 'Pam's Tea Hut'.  While the two Tennis courts with clubhouse are in Jubilee Field close to the centre of town.
